Overview
The Packer is responsible for packing finished printed materials to meet customer specifications, ensuring quality standards are upheld, and supporting the smooth flow of work in the cutting department. This position plays a critical role in the final stage of production by preparing completed jobs for shipment or delivery, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
SalaryBase pay range: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr this range is provided by 4over. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Schedule2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, or similar. This is an in-person position. Training may occur at other times.
Responsibilities- Work in collaboration with main Cutter Operator for provided instructions which indicate specifications of form/batch cuts
- Identify quantity of form and type of stock to secure correct boxes for packing of product
- Off-load product from cutter tables and ensure order sticker label is eligible and visible for delivery
- Conduct initial inspection of products to ensure quality control
- Track inventory by physically counting product orders by order number to ensure compliance
- Accurately and safely box completed jobs and notify quality control teammate/supervisor when completed boxes are ready for inspection
- Ensure materials on hand are organized and replenished
- Maintain required packing materials and tools (boxes, tape guns, dividers, markers, etc.) and keep inventory stocked
- Place boxes in appropriate and safe floor locations under/near packing table
- Maintain bins and relocate full bins for recycling as needed
- Ensure setup is complete for shift change
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents
- Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in the work area
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Attend all department/company meetings
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred; or one to three months related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: ability to address machine malfunctions, material shortages, or print quality issues and adapt to production changes
- Time Management & Efficiency: manage multiple print jobs, meet deadlines, and optimize workflows
- Attention to Detail: ensure color accuracy, image sharpness, and correct print placement; detect and correct defects

Skills:
ability to read and understand policies and instructions in English - Strong foundational math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
