Assembly and Maintenance Technician at H2scan Corporation

Reports to:
Production Manager
Position requires knowledge of PCB handling and burn-in, mechanical assembly, testing, etc. The assembler must be familiar with standard electronic assembly concepts and practices. Ability to perform and follow assembly drawings and manufacturing procedures within an electronics manufacturing environment is required. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute within a team are required.
Responsibilities- Perform PCB test and assembly tasks
- Prepare for assembly with tasks such as PCB burn-in testing, subassembly, mechanical assembly, and assembly test activities
- Perform manual soldering and solder rework for PCB to IPC or military standard specifications
- Maintain quality and quantity standards and keep records in traveler tracking logs
- Work with engineering to perform prototype builds and provide feedback on deviations
- Clarify design documentation, parts lists, and drawings with engineering as needed for completeness and accuracy
- Perform equipment and facilities related maintenance tasks as needed
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the printed circuit board industry
- Knowledge of mechanical, thru-hole, surface mount, electronic component identification, and rework on PCBs
- Ability to read and interpret QC specifications, IPC certifications, blueprints, and engineering specs
- Ability to work at a fast pace with high-quality results
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs occasionally with reasonable accommodation
- Availability to work 7am–4pm M-F, with occasional Saturday work and flexible start times
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, work orders, and willingness to learn
- High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English; ability to follow procedures
