OpportunitySilvus is seeking a Production Material Handler who will report to the Production Manager on the Production Team. The successful individual in this role will play a key role in maintaining smooth production flow by managing the movement, tracking, and administrative handling of materials between Production, Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, and Shipping Departments.
This position is responsible for both the physical handling and clerical processing of materials, ensuring the timely delivery of components, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the reallocation of materials in response to internal change orders or customer-driven modifications.
This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles
.
The following is a list of essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.
Role and Responsibilities- Perform daily material delivery and pickup between the Stockroom, Production stations, Quality, and Shipping areas.
- Reallocate materials across job codes in the ERP system based on customer cancellations, change orders, or shipping schedule shifts.
- Pull, stage, and verify materials for Sales Orders in coordination with Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, Shipping and Production teams.
- Support Production by ushering electronic materials, bins, and ESD bags between suites and stations throughout the facility.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, and Shipping teams to ensure all materials are properly issued, tracked, and documented.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions in the system.
- Support inventory accuracy through participation in weekly cycle counts, month-end and year-end physical inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure adherence to ESD and material handling protocols to prevent damage or contamination.
- Assist in other production support or logistics duties as assigned by Production leadership.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse experience, with a preference for handling electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, and accessories.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong initiative, sound judgment, and excellent follow-through skills.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Dependable and positive with a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
