Base pay range$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Material Handlers are integral to the success of our business. It is where the process starts. You will pull, pack and wrap metal bar, sheet, plate and tube to be picked up by customers in our one-of-a-kind will call department.
- Safety is the company’s number one priority. If you are like-minded, you will fit perfectly within the IMS culture of safety. The team helps ensure a clean, organized and safe environment is always maintained in the warehouse.
- A detailed 7-week onboard training program giving you hands-on experience within all departments and shifts so you feel fully prepared for your job duties.
- You will learn to use our business software program to pull inventory and process orders.
- Your attention to detail will ensure customer material is of the highest quality for our customers, every time.
- You will be pulling, packing and wrapping the material while adhering to our Quality System. You will use the tape measure, calipers or micrometers to confirm material dimensions as requested by our customer.
- On a daily basis you will fulfill many orders in a fast-paced environment, which will include moving material with a forklift, and you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout your shift.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow proper lifting and material handling techniques to prevent injuries.
- Comply with all environmental regulations related to material handling and storage.
- Must be 18 years and older
- Experience of 6 months to 1 year in material handling preferred in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
