• 0-3 years. Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.
• May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. This is an entry-level position. Typically requires a high school education.
• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as:
• Receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
• May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
