As a CNC Operator (Trainee), you will be an important part of making and finishing parts.
You will work with advanced CNC machines that change 3D-printed metal pieces into high-quality parts used in aircraft.
This role helps connect 3D printing to the final product. You will learn how to operate CNC machines, mills, and lathes, make small programming changes, set up work tasks, and check the quality of parts.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, has a positive attitude, and believes that no job is too big or too small. If you are motivated to learn and grow in the manufacturing field, we want to hear from you!
You do not need to have experience with 3D printing to succeed in this role. We want smart, motivated, and team-oriented people who enjoy solving problems and creating great technology!
** Your Responsibilities:**
- Operate CNC machines and help with setup, basic programming changes, tool changes, and checking parts.
- Use manual tools like mills, lathes, bandsaws, and grinders to finish parts and create fixtures.
- Learn how to measure parts accurately to ensure they meet quality and size requirements.
- Help with maintaining and fixing CNC machines and shop equipment like air compressors and chillers.
- Contribute to keeping the workshop organized and improving processes to make it more efficient.

* Basic Qualifications:

- 1+ years of CNC operation experience or completed technical training (like a machining program at a community college).
** Nice to Have:*

- Experience with CNC mills or lathes and basic knowledge of G-code.
- Familiarity with metal 3D printing and how to finish those parts.
- Understanding of manual machining, welding, or building things with stainless steel, aluminum, or nickel alloys.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other workshop equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools (like micrometers and calipers).
- Comfort working with systems like air, water, and gases.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without help
