Position OverviewUNITE‑LA seeks an organized, proactive temporary grants manager to help provide capacity with grant proposals and reports over a four‑month period. This is a short‑term, temporary position beginning in January 2026 and ending on March 31, 2026.
Primary Responsibilities- Draft and edit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and interim/final reports for foundation, corporate, and government funders for proposals $100,000 and under.
- Support the development of proposal narratives, budgets, and attachments in collaboration with program and finance teams.
- Maintain and update a calendar of grant deadlines and deliverables.
- Ensure timely submission of all grant‑related materials.
- Assist in tracking public and private grant deliverables, including outcomes and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate access to online portals for financial and narrative reporting.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for all grants.
- Prospect Research
- Conduct research to identify and qualify new grant prospects, especially government and public funding opportunities.
- Prepare prospect profiles and track opportunities in the CRM system.
- External Relations & Stewardship Support
- Monitor strategic partnership opportunities and assist with related communications.
- Assist with stewardship and recognition of donors through newsletters, social media and email.
