Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Med‑Surg - Loan Forgiveness - Full Time, Nights (East Los Angeles)

Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Med‑Surg unit at the East Los Angeles location. The position is full‑time, night shift, with a full loan forgiveness program and a sign‑on bonus of $7,000.

Base Pay Range: $30.00 per year – $41.20 per year

• Administer patient medications, including basic IV management, within scope of practice; participate in treatments and procedures in a safe, effective, and age‑appropriate manner.
• Assist patients with hygiene, elimination, routine skin care, and other ADLs, respecting patient privacy and cultural preferences.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately; assist with specimen collection, turning, positioning, and transportation.
• Collaborate with the health care team to intervene, advocate for patient safety, and maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and families, demonstrating appropriate independent judgement and decision‑making.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under RN/Physician supervision; develop short and long‑term goals consistent with treatment plans.

• Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Vocational Nurse in the State of California.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Vocational Nursing or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• IV certification.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain composure in a constantly changing environment.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

• Bilingual skills.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• One year of previous experience in a related setting.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required for Foothill location).

Eligible for a $7,000 sign‑on bonus, paid in increments over 12 months to active employees in good standing. Applicants must have one or more years of experience; current or former hospital employees are not eligible.
