The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the medical/surgical unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients and communicates with physicians regarding changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
The RN must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Current and valid state RN license
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance of certification
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire (preferred)
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
The starting compensation for this role is approximately $59.79 per hour, with the exact amount determined based on skillset, years of experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
