Job Description
Clinica De Los Angeles is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals in our busy clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care, including complete patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for primary, secondary, and tertiary care services, as outlined in and in compliance with standardized protocols for Nurse Practitioners.
Responsibilities- Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or decides on follow-up procedures.
- Performs physical examinations.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, blood work, and interprets test results.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as immunizations, injections, and managing infections.
- Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with the medical director concerning appropriate treatment.
- Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress.
- Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
- Provides health education regarding health maintenance, especially in the realm of STD prevention.
- Participates in staff meetings, planning meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- Participates in the program's ongoing quality assurance monitoring

- 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Current Nurse Practitioner license within the state of CA
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Bilingual in Spanish (plus certain additional language skills desirable)
- Full-time (32 to 40 hours)
