The Care Partner provides nursing staff support in the areas of patient care delivery, clerical functions, and organization of the unit environment, as well as set‑up and maintenance of equipment. The emphasis on each of these areas will depend on the unit assigned.
Education Requirements- Current California Certified Nurse Assistant certification
- Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program and completion of the “Fundamentals of Nursing” course with a B or better
- Six months to one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred in an acute care setting)
- Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Maintain active California Certified Nurse Assistant certification (or active enrollment in an accredited nursing program; graduates or dropouts will be suspended from work and given 30 calendar days to re‑enroll or obtain certification)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card through American Heart Association AB 508 Certification (if no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days and renewed before expiration)
The hourly rate range for this position is $22.06 to $29.69.
