American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN with at least 3 years of experience and required Epic charting experience for a high-acuity perinatal unit.

• Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, and 2 OR rooms, plus NICU and Post-Partum support
• 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage for low and high risk L&D cases
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• May be placed on call in lieu of a scheduled shift if not needed
• Floating to Perinatal required if needed
• Uses SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems

• Active California RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
• References required for consideration

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care across triage, LDR, and OR settings
• Circulate for cesarean sections as needed
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring equipment
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 3 days for the contract
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed approval
• Must work most holidays
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Smoke and nicotine-free facility; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum 80% passing score
