Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Los Angeles, CA
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860–$1,960
- Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive emergency department
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; shift times are based on department scheduling needs
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
- Call: Not required
- Floating: Not required
- Orientation: Approximately 30 hours
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- Valid California Registered Nurse license; EMSA licenses are not accepted
- BSN required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Epic EMR experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered
- Comfort caring for pediatric and adult patients
- Experience in trauma, adult and pediatric emergency care, and teaching hospital environments strongly preferred
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Ability to provide requested time-off information with the initial application
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, treatment, and ongoing reassessment of patients with emergent and complex conditions
- Care for patients experiencing trauma, stroke, cardiac emergencies, sepsis, respiratory distress, burns, behavioral health concerns, overdoses, withdrawal, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases while managing cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions
- Administer and monitor continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and other emergency therapies
- Provide central line care, ventilator management, and BiPAP/CPAP support as appropriate
- Maintain isolation precautions and deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Accurately document patient care and clinical outcomes in Epic
