American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of high-risk L&D and couplet care experience with a CA RN license.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum/couplet care
- Float requirement to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital Perinatal unit as needed
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30 with a 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Four weekend shifts (Friday and/or Saturday nights) required every 4-week schedule
- Circulates NSVDs and C-Sections
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- ACLS and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a high-risk facility required
- Couplet care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Academic/teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, hemorrhage/shock management, and VBAC/trial of labor preferred
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Provide nursing care throughout the childbirth experience including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum/couplet care
- Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, multiple gestation, and preterm labor
- Navy scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
- Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or perm employees must be cleared by Talent Management before consideration, with RNs requiring a 12-month separation
- Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
- First-time travelers may be considered
