American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with EPIC experience for a 13-week assignment requiring CA licensure and AWHONN Advanced certification.

• Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR rooms, plus NICU and Post-Partum support
• Unit supported by 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Cares for low and high risk L&D patients across neonatal, adolescent, and adult populations
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• May be placed on call in lieu of a scheduled shift if not needed
• Float to Perinatal required as needed
• Uses SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts charting systems

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
• References required for consideration

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring and C-section circulation support
• Must work most holidays with limited holiday RTO consideration
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the full 13-week contract
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be modified, only canceled
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Return staff considered on a case-by-case basis
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum 80% passing score
