Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Merced, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
• Float between Telemetry and Medical Surgical Telemetry floors as assigned
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Adhere to facility policies, protocols, and standards of nursing practice

• Active RN license valid in the state of California (or compact equivalent accepted per facility requirements)
• Experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must not have been employed as a permanent or per diem staff member at a Common Spirit facility within the past 12 months
• Must be able to prioritize this travel assignment as primary employment — secondary employment that conflicts with the assignment schedule is not permitted

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Comfort with floating across multiple units within the same facility
• Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new care environments

• Located in California's Central Valley with relatively affordable housing options and proximity to world-class destinations including Yosemite National Park, multiple lakes, and easy access to San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, and Modesto
• Travelers who perform well may have the opportunity to extend their assignment up to the one-year mark
