Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Los Angeles, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

• Provide direct nursing care to a patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a low and high-risk Labor and Delivery setting
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and manage high-risk obstetric patients
• Apply external fetal monitoring; recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using CMQCC Category II algorithm and advanced fetal monitoring techniques
• Circulate for C-sections in the OR as needed
• Float to Perinatal unit as needed and participate in on-call rotation (expected approximately 2 on-call shifts per month in addition to scheduled shifts)
• Utilize unit systems including SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts; Epic EMR proficiency required

• Minimum 2.5 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Recent experience performing sterile vaginal exams, managing high-risk patients, and applying the CMQCC Category II algorithm with advanced fetal monitoring
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring — must be included with submission
• Must be willing to work most holidays; expected maximum of 3 days RTO for the full 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

• Experience working in a comprehensive OB unit with triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and postpartum components
• Familiarity with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia collaborative care models
