Staff Research Associate 1 – Inside Higher Ed

Department Summary

Under the direction of the principal investigators, Sarah Choi, PhD, RN, FNP and Dr. Yeonsu Song, PhD, RN, FNP, the Staff Research Associate will have the following professional responsibilities:

• Assist in recruitment of study subjects and schedule research procedures.
• Conduct screening for potential study participants according to study protocols.
• Provide reports and summaries on subject enrollment.
• Communicate with staff at subject recruitment sites for eligible participants.
• Assist with data entry.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of research study logistics including human subject recruitment and retention. (Required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology. (Preferred)
• Excellent word‑processing skills. (Required)
• Willingness to learn to support study procedures. (Required)
• Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. (Required)
• Flexible hours; travel to study site in Orange County; work in research office at UCLA. (Required)
• Ability to concentrate and focus in distracting environment. (Required)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills. (Required)
• Fluent in Korean language. (Required)
• Work and solve problems with minimal supervision. (Required)
• Multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines; discretion in confidential matters. (Required)

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field. (Preferred)
