This Retail Sales Specialist position is based at North Westlake Avenue in Los Angeles, CA.
Base pay is $20.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $27.02 per hour through commission and incentives. Commission earnings target starts at $7,300. The base pay range for this position generally is between $18.00 and $29.52 per hour, and additional incentive-based compensation may be offered.
Role OverviewAs a Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum, you are the face of our company, promoting and selling our portfolio of products and services to both existing and new customers. Your role is pivotal in enhancing the customer experience and fostering a culture of exceptional customer care at every store location.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
- Identify sales opportunities and create ideal customer experiences through product support and education.
- Build positive customer relationships, listen effectively, overcome objections, and resell the value of our products.
- Maintain knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions, and visual standards while minimizing product losses.
- Ensure a welcoming store atmosphere, deliver a clean retail experience, communicate policy adherence, resolve issues, and participate in training programs.
- This role requires a flexible schedule, regular attendance, and physical demands including lifting up to 35 lbs. and prolonged standing. Adherence to Spectrum’s dress code and working in a moderately noisy retail environment is also required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
- High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices, video platforms, and computer applications.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and handle change effectively.
- Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
- Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment.
- Effective communication with employees and customers in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization.
- Self‑motivated, competitive spirit with a desire to exceed sales goals.
- Positive and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Bilingual:
Spanish.
- Knowledge of the latest technology and devices.
- 1-5 years of sales/customer service experience.
- 1-3 years of telecommunications/wireless experience.
