The Inventory Control Specialist prepares and manages stock counts to maintain an accurate stock level within the store. They monitor all aspects of inventory processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and productivity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute physical stock count of store inventory.
  • Assist in compiling Physical Inventory Count data for recounts and analysis
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis Report and Pareto Charts and share with Store Management Team
  • Manage the hardware required for stock counts
  • Reconcile and thoroughly analyze store inventory counts
  • Ensure transfer cut-off dates are adhered to
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies across the store and warehouse
  • Manage and lead all levels of staff on inventory process and procedures
  • Control manual transfer forms, write-off forms, delivery discrepancy report. System input of location-to-location transfers, and POS errors
  • Liaise with store operations or support team, DC and Merchandising team if needed, on day to day inventory discrepancies and ensure that system corrections are performed accordingly
  • Audit inventory and processes
  • Maintain and provide clearance of invalid SKUs (POS errors)
  • Systems inventory adjustments for stock write offs/ins
  • Audit pre-orders and VIP orders
  • Monitor inventory movements required for ETR (In-flyter or on-line) transactions
  • Provide consistent feedback to improve and streamline systems currently in place
  • Help provide Finance & Auditors documents related to inventory adjustments
  • Provide Ad Hocs Report to support Store
  • Meet with Location's Management Team monthly for Inventory Status Update Report
  • Open ticket with IT on any system related issues encountered
Location specific requirements, if applicable
  • Manage all Spirit/Wine/Tobacco (SWT) breakages and other Duty Free Damages transfer to DC, including expiring Custom entries
  • Oversee maintenance of vendor UPC barcodes
  • Monitor outstanding shipment acknowledgement

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Minimum College Level 2 years
  • 2-3 years inventory or stock control experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office application skills
  • Leadership skills and willing to make decisions
  • Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc.
  • Fluency in English language and other language(s) as required by location
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work capably under pressure and react positively to operation and people-oriented situations.
  • Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work well with other personnel at various levels and be team-oriented.

Working Conditions / Environment

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $35.00. Placement within this range will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
