The Grocery Sales Associate / Market Associate stocks and displays products in the Housewares and Grocery departments and provides outstanding guest service. Reports to the Market Manager.

• Artisan Bread Packaging: Carefully slice, package, and label a high volume of fresh-baked breads daily, ensuring strict quality control and freshness standards.
• Visual Merchandising: Creatively arrange bread displays and shelves to look full, appetizing, and organized according to company guidelines.
• Inventory & Rotation: Monitor stock levels on the floor, rotate older loaves to the front, and restock artisan items quickly during peak hours.
• Customer Engagement: Welcome guests, answer questions about our bread types (such as sourdough fermentation or flour types), and slice bread to order.
• Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces products according to department procedures
• Ensures all items are merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Adheres to all guidelines about product recommendations and information
• Communicates department’s needs, adjustments and problems promptly and efficiently to manager
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment in compliance with department, federal and state regulations
• Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
• Verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous stocking experience in a retail setting preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattin

Compensation:
Pay rate is set at $19 – $19.50 an hour.

Seasonal Opportunity with Potential for Long-Term Growth! This is a seasonal position expected to last approximately three months, through the first week of January 2027, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of our team! Many of our seasonal team members have continued their journey with us beyond the holiday season, and this could be the start of a long-term opportunity with Eataly.
