Job Summary (Primary Function)The Area Sales Director (ASD) will focus appropriately on advancing the Opzelura business. The role leads a team of Immunology Business Directors, who in turn lead teams consisting of Immunology Therapeutic specialists. These teams are dedicated to success within the immunology business and the Opzelura franchise to maximize business opportunities, and they work collaboratively with other key functions within the immunology business.
EssentialFunctions Of The Job (Key Responsibilities)
- Provide guidance to the IBDs and ITS on the marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging of internal/external resources (e.g., discretionary spend), ensuring inclusive and equitable access to resources for all team members.
- Assist in developing local thought leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
- Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
- Share best practices with team members, colleagues, and headquarters.
- Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
- Lead diverse teams and regions of responsibility to meet revenue targets.
- Employ strong leadership skills, develop business plans for the assigned areas, and implement national level sales strategies.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving immunology marketplace and its various customer segments.
- Develop and implement reliable, effective metrics to measure outcomes; identifies and recommends changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide ideas that contribute to the formation of the overall Regional, Area and national business strategies.
- Develop innovative ways to drive results within company guidelines.
- Exceeds performance driven goals and routinely measures outcomes.
- Empower individuals to perform beyond their current responsibilities.
- Develop, hire, and coach high-performing strategic teams to ensure optimal productivity; foster a creative, innovative, and supportive workplace that values diverse perspectives and inclusivity.

- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications, or equivalent software skills, is required.
- Documentation of success in annual reviews and up to date sales reports.
- Proven track record in sales and leadership performance, with experience in access and reimbursement considered an advantage.
- Ability to motivate, retain, and develop team members, including those in roles such as IBDs and Immunology Therapeutic Specialists.
- Extensive experience in specialty therapeutic sales within the immunology industry, with a focus on skills and achievements rather than specific years of experience.
