About JamesdarJamesdar is a Los Angeles-based furniture company specializing in design-forward, commercial-grade furniture for hospitality and commercial spaces. We work with restaurants, hotels, cafés, designers, purchasing groups, and other hospitality clients looking for distinctive furniture with a strong balance of design, durability, value, and availability.
We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Sales & Business Development professional to expand Jamesdar’s presence within the hospitality industry.
The RoleThis is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for someone who already understands the hospitality furniture market and, most importantly, comes with an established network of industry relationships.
The ideal candidate has existing connections with hospitality groups, restaurant owners and operators, hotel groups, interior designers, architects, purchasing companies, procurement professionals, and other decision-makers involved in specifying and purchasing commercial furniture.
Your primary focus will be outbound business development — opening doors, developing relationships, introducing Jamesdar to new accounts, and converting those relationships into long-term customers.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify and pursue new hospitality accounts
- Leverage your existing network and industry contacts to introduce Jamesdar to qualified buyers and decision-makers
- Build relationships with restaurant groups, hotels, hospitality designers, architects, procurement firms, purchasing groups, and commercial developers
- Conduct consistent outreach through phone, email, Linked In, industry contacts, referrals, and in-person meetings
- Present Jamesdar products, capabilities, pricing, quick-ship options, and custom/special-order solutions
- Identify upcoming restaurant, hotel, and hospitality projects where Jamesdar products could be specified
- Develop opportunities from initial introduction through quote, follow-up, and close
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, active opportunities, and follow-ups
- Represent Jamesdar professionally at relevant industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities
- Work closely with the Jamesdar team on quotes, product recommendations, samples, and client needs
- Help develop repeat business and long-term hospitality accounts
Hospitality industry experience is required.
The strongest candidate will have:- Proven sales or business development experience within hospitality, commercial furniture, contract furniture, restaurant supply, interior design, FF&E, procurement, or a closely related industry
- An established Rolodex/network of hospitality contacts and the ability to begin outreach immediately
- Existing relationships with decision-makers such as restaurant groups, hotel groups, designers, architects, procurement teams, purchasing agents, and developers
- A demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close B2B sales
- Strong communication, presentation, and follow-up skills
- A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach to sales
- The ability to work independently and be accountable for measurable sales activity and results
$30,000 annual base salary for a part-time position, plus a competitive commission structure.
This role offers significant upside for an experienced hospitality sales professional who can leverage existing relationships while developing new accounts and growing with the Jamesdar brand.
What Success Looks LikeWe are looking for someone who can do more than maintain incoming leads. Success in this position means actively creating new opportunities, getting Jamesdar in front of hospitality decision-makers, building a strong pipeline, and turning relationships into recurring revenue.
If you have deep hospitality industry experience, a strong network, and enjoy opening doors and building business, we'd love to hear from you.
