Lumber Sales Representative - Softwood & Hardwood

We are seeking an experienced Lumber Sales Representative to join a growing organization serving customers throughout Southern California. This is a remote opportunity for a sales professional with a strong background in softwood and hardwood lumber and established relationships within the wood products industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling lumber to manufacturers, distributors, and end users, with a proven ability to develop new business while maintaining long-term customer relationships.

• Develop new business and expand existing customer accounts throughout Southern California
• Sell softwood and hardwood lumber products
• Build and maintain relationships with lumber distributors, manufacturers, and end users
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic accounts
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
• Provide product recommendations based on customer requirements
• Negotiate pricing and terms while maintaining strong margins
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and suppliers
• Track market conditions, pricing, inventory, and customer demand
• Travel periodically for customer meetings, industry events, and business development as needed

• 3+ years of lumber or wood-products sales experience
• Strong knowledge of softwood and hardwood lumber
• Existing relationships within the Southern California lumber/wood-products market preferred
• Experience selling to manufacturers, distributors, cabinet manufacturers, pallet manufacturers, millwork companies, or other wood-product customers
• Proven track record of developing new business
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Strong understanding of lumber products, applications, and market dynamics
