Position: Sales Coordinator (Consumer Sales)
The Opportunity

IGN Entertainment is looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our Consumer Sales team. You will be the central support hub for our team, keeping campaigns, renewals, and client relationships running smoothly from start to finish.

This is a unique opportunity to learn the digital advertising business from the ground up. This work is fast-paced, creative, and self-guided, with new problems to solve every day. If you have a passion for pop culture, a knack for organization, and the drive to take initiative, this is the perfect chance to build foundational skills and help shape how the world's largest brands, including Coca-Cola, Lego, Butterfinger, and Microsoft, engage with the future of pop culture.

  • This is a hybrid role with an expectation to work in out offices 3 days per week. We are looking for candidates based in Los Angeles or New York City.
  • This role is full-time, with an expectation to occasionally require work during evenings or weekends for client services, campaign reporting, and client entertainment/events. All candidates must be willing and able to work standard hours in the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Some travel is required for this position to industry events and client meetings.
  • This role involves standard office tasks, such as sitting at a computer. Additionally, travel and participation in industry events may require prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central support hub and point of contact for our Sales Managers and Account Executives, ensuring they have what they need to succeed every day. This includes keeping proposals, wrap reports, and ad tags organized.
  • Manage sales work streams and campaigns from the start, tracking timelines and deliverables across multiple accounts at once.
  • Take notes on internal and client calls, send clear recaps, and follow up on action items to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Partner with AEs to keep renewal timelines on track, pull performance data, and prepare materials that set up the next deal.
  • Work with our Ad Ops team to check inventory availability across IGN's sites for client proposals and campaigns.
  • Help execute campaigns by managing ad trafficking, performing quality assurance with Rev Ops on custom creative, and monitoring pacing. Build and send campaign reports directly to clients to ensure their expectations are met.
  • Get up to speed on IGN's full suite of advertising products, including display media, branded content, video shows, social, and programmatic. You'll use this knowledge to help develop sales materials.
  • Manage our reservation system and keep detailed records of business in Salesforce and other internal tools. Your attention to detail keeps our cross-functional teams (Ad Ops, Revenue Operations, Finance, Creative Strategy, Client Services, and Design) aligned and informed.
  • Help respond to RFPs by pulling research, securing ad inventory, and building visually appealing presentation materials.
Job Qualifications The Must-Haves
  • You are highly organized and skilled at multitasking, with strong time management. You can prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment with ease.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal teams and external clients, and a keen eye for detail.
  • You're a self-starter. You take initiative without being told what to do, figure out who to go to when you don't know the answer, and are comfortable tackling things you haven't done before.
  • You're a natural problem solver who enjoys collaboration, and you'll learn to write clear, concise, and professional emails.
  • You're coachable and curious. You ask good questions, welcome feedback, and bring a positive, team-first attitude to the work.
  • You take thorough notes and follow up consistently.
  • You're comfortable in Excel (sorting, filtering, and basic formulas) and PowerPoint (building clean, on-brand slides), and proficient in Google Workspace. You can quickly pick up new software and systems.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in a sales, sales coordinator, media planning, or executive assistant role, in any industry.
  • Prior experience at a media company or agency (digital media), or have an interest in pursuing a career in digital advertising and media.
  • A deep passion for entertainment, gaming, and pop culture.
