As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Control access to assigned locations by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and documenting visitors, deliveries, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, patrol, and incident reports; maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow applicable post orders and legal requirements.

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
