Job Title:
Crane Operator

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of computerized mobile cranes.

Principal Accountabilities

Operate mobile crane and move materials to various locations safely and effectively.

Inspect, rig, and ensure rigging applications are configured according to load charts and manufacturer guidelines.

Inspect, clean, and perform operator-level maintenance on equipment following standards.

Interact closely with customers for movement of materials and equipment.

Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.

Follow safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures.

Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and limited office duties.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and storage.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Fluent in English for understanding load charts, safety topics, and preparing written orders.

Experience & Education

Minimum two (2) years of verifiable crane operation experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid commercial driver’s license.
Equipment Operator training and certification from NCCCO for Telescopic Boom—Swing Cab (TLL), Telescopic Boom Cranes—Fixed Cab (TSS).
Ability to obtain certification to operate computerized mobile cranes up to 100 tons.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment and materials.
Work may occur in remote and uncomfortable conditions.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
