Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician in the Los Angeles area who is looking to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, challenging job? This role involves servicing and repairing commercial generators on cell phone towers and is ideal for independent self‑stanners who are willing to travel.

• Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems, and perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment.
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications for installation or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, testing for proper operation.
• Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms; be available on call 24/7 if necessary, answering assigned phone and email in a timely manner.
• Perform work with awareness of all potential hazards such as falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; use safety equipment and adhere to safety practices; attend and participate in all designated safety and training meetings.

• Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance (preferred); minimum one year of intensive work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair, including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

• Requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Must inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms visually and audibly.
• Willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required; may be on 24‑hour on‑call duty.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
