Installer II – Mas Tec Communications Group

Responsibilities- Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment.
- Identify and request parts necessary to establish low‑ and high‑level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding.
- Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders.
- Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers’ location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities.
- Review installation specifications.

- You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands‑on approach to your work.
- You are looking for long‑term projects.
- You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
- You have entry‑level or 1 year of technical experience.
- You have a High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- You respond promptly to customer needs and request customer feedback to improve the partnership.
- You are computer‑literate.
- Must be trainable and coachable.
- You have the ability to learn customer specifications and standards.
- You have excellent communication skills; speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills.
- You have the ability to learn time management while working on customer sites.
- You possess dependability – follow instructions, respond to management direction, keep commitments.
- Experience in handling power tools.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
- Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time (up to 75%).
- Candidate will be working primarily in a central office, which is a structure used by telecommunications companies to house equipment needed to direct and process telephone calls and data traffic.
