• Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment.
• Identify and request parts necessary to establish low‑ and high‑level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding.
• Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders.
• Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers’ location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities.
• Review installation specifications.

• You have entry‑level or 1 year of technical experience.
• You have a High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• You respond promptly to customer needs and request customer feedback to improve the partnership.
• You are computer‑literate.
• Must be trainable and coachable.
• You have the ability to learn customer specifications and standards.
• You have excellent communication skills; speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills.
• You have the ability to learn time management while working on customer sites.
• You possess dependability – follow instructions, respond to management direction, keep commitments.
• Experience in handling power tools.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
• Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time (up to 75%).
• Candidate will be working primarily in a central office, which is a structure used by telecommunications companies to house equipment needed to direct and process telephone calls and data traffic.
