Responsibilities
  • Coordination of workshops: creating weekly workshops for residents of the home
  • Onboarding new members: conducting orientation for new members/intakes
  • Assessing needs for each member: reviewing hygiene needs and supporting services
  • LACCD basic needs partnership: working closely with the community college’s basic needs department, conducting case conferences, and collaborating with campus resources
  • Case management: managing the status of each member from GPA to employment, evaluating and completing data entry and progress reports
  • Member expectations: managing program expectations for all members, including chore completion, workshop attendance, and overall community culture
  • Outreach: providing case management and resources to partner organizations such as group homes, shelters, walk‑ins, and other facilities
Requirements
  • 3‑5 years of experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma or at nonprofits
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Thrives in self‑directed environments
  • B.A. degree in Social Services or similar field
  • Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience working with youth (ages 18‑26)
  • Openness to learning from diverse perspectives
  • Love for startups and ability to take on new tasks with little direction and adapt to feedback
  • Extremely resourceful with a "roll‑up‑your‑sleeves" approach, asking the right questions, and learning independently
  • Strong frustration tolerance when others lack personal accountability, are lazy, or sloppy
