Overview
Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure role focuses on designing and developing next-generation technologies and complex features to enable rapid, reliable, and scalable product development. The engineer acts as a core contributor and mentor, advocating for infrastructure best practices and self-service platforms.
Location:
Onsite (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY, Santa Monica, CA, or Aliso Viejo, CA.
The Infrastructure team enables the foundation for rapid, reliable, and scalable product development. We own and evolve the internal service catalog and core compute platforms that power applications and services across the company. Responsibilities include build systems, deployment tooling, artifact management, infrastructure provisioning, and cloud resource management. We also own foundational capabilities like service attribution and work with engineering teams to promote infrastructure best practices, self-service platforms, and operational excellence.
WhatYouve Done
- 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development
- Experience with developing robust, mission-critical systems using one or multiple general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C# or any other OOP language)
- Track record building robust, mission-critical systems—particularly in areas such as infrastructure, distributed systems, machine learning platforms, security, or privacy
- Designed and delivered complex solutions with high business impact, emphasizing enablement and self-service
- A strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives
- Hands-on experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation
- A growth mindset with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new programming languages, platforms, and tools
- Experience owning projects from the initial idea to production
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain improvements across Stub Hub’s platforms and products
- Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across code
- Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise

The anticipated gross base pay for this role is $200,000—$275,000 USD. Actual compensation varies by qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base salary is one component of Stub Hub’s total compensation and benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
