We are looking for an Android Developer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a Software Development company, based in Los Angeles, CA.

Our client’s solution is a mobile-first maintenance management platform that helps teams streamline work orders, track assets, and schedule preventive maintenance, all in one place.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our client’s applications remain current and competitive.

Requirements

• Advanced Level of English.
• 8+ years of experience in Android development.
• Experience with Android frameworks and libraries such as Jetpack, Live Data, Room, and Work Manager.
• Experience with Clean Architecture and VIPER (or similar architecture patterns).
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Understanding of Android design principles and best practices (Material Design, responsive UI, etc.).
• Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools such as Android Profiler.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

Bonus Points

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS, Firebase).
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
