Senior Software Engineer – Experimentation Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Experimentation Platform team, you will design and develop next‑generation technologies and complex features, tackling significant, ambiguous, and non‑trivial challenges as a core contributor and innovator. You will bring creative technical solutions to life, demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm, and act as an advocate and mentor for your team members, displaying leadership qualities and setting an example for others.

Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) – New York, NY or Santa Monica, CA

The Experimentation Platform team is a cross‑functional group of engineers, data scientists, and product leaders dedicated to building a world‑class experimentation platform. Our mission is to empower teams across the company to make smarter, data‑informed decisions by enabling rapid, reliable, and scalable testing. We partner closely with product, design, and analytics teams to uncover insights, validate ideas, and drive measurable impact.

You’ll be hands‑on in building and evolving Stub Hub’s experimentation platform, delivering reliable, scalable tools that empower teams to test, learn, and make better decisions.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across Stub Hub’s platforms and products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across our code.
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
• Mentor other team members, fostering a culture of inclusion, results‑oriented execution, open innovation, and limitless creativity.

• 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following: infrastructure, databases, data processing, machine learning, distributed systems, security, and privacy.
• Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact.
• A strong understanding of how your systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives.
• Proven ability to learn other programming languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

The anticipated gross base pay range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 USD, varying based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Stub Hub’s total compensation package.
