Job Position:
Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Front End) to help build and evolve the user-facing experience for our FAST, AVOD, and SVOD offerings. You will work closely with product management, design, and backend engineering teams to create highly performing, intuitive, and responsive interfaces for web, TV apps, and other connected devices.

This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building streaming experiences that delight millions of users and who care deeply about performance, usability, and maintainability.

++This position will be on-site with our client (Sony Pictures) and will report directly to the client regarding the project.++

Job Responsibilities

• Develop client applications for live and on-demand FAST channels across web and TV platforms
• Implement features such as EPG (Electronic Program Guide), channel browsing, dynamic ad-supported playback interfaces, and deep content discovery
• Integrate with backend APIs for content metadata, scheduling, ad services, and analytics
• Collaborate with designers to bring mockups to life
• Ensure high performance, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility
• Work closely with backend, QA, and product teams to deliver new features end to end
• Continuously improve UI performance, streaming UX, and codebase quality through best practices

Job Qualifications

• Must be based in California and willing to work onsite.
• 5+ years of experience building modern web or app UIs with frameworks like React, Angular
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and real-time data
• Familiarity with video playback technologies (HLS/DASH), media events, and browser compatibility
• Deep care for usability, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization
• Experience in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code

Nice to Have:

• Experience building UIs for Google TV devices and gaming/streaming devices such as Play Station or Roku
• Knowledge of video playback libraries (Shaka, Video.js, HLS.js, Exo Player)
• Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and event tracking for user behavior

Job Work Set up:

• Onsite – Monday to Thursday / Remote – Friday (Culver City)
• 40 hours/week
