Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Skill Bridge) - R

Location:

Northridge, CA (on-site). Travel: 10%. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance:
Secret.

DoD Skill Bridge program details apply. Active-duty service members may participate in the Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) during their last 6 months of service for up to 180 days; participants are not compensated by Northrop Grumman.

• Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems based on requirements.
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities in an agile environment.
• Software requirements verification and validation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 12 years of Computer Engineering or Software Engineering experience, or Master’s with 10 years of experience.
• Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment.
• Experience with one or more software languages/technologies: C/C++, Java, Python, C#.
• Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance;
  United States citizenship is a prerequisite.
• At least one year of experience working in an Agile team.
• Meets DoD Skill Bridge qualifications per DoDI 1322.29.

• Experience with software version control tools such as Git.
• Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
• Experience with embedded C++ optimization and tools such as VxWorks.
• Hands-on hardware integration and testing experience.
• Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues.
• Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Sonar Qube.
• Active Secret Clearance.
