Demand.io is a profitable, founder‑led consumer AI commerce player driving $1B+ in annual GMV. We are the team behind Simply Codes (the #1 AI‑powered savings tool) and Product.ai (emerging Axiomatic Intelligence shopping assistant).

We are seeking VP Product, AI Systems to operate as a Strategic Partner
. This is not a standard management role; it is a high‑leverage position for a builder capable of architecting the entire product surface of an AI‑native enterprise.

We are pivoting from a “Search” company to an “Adjudication” company. You will lead this transition, managing the collision between our Transaction Layer (Simply Codes) and our Intelligence Layer (Product.ai). You will not just manage a roadmap; you will define the physics of the Agent Economy.

You will not be writing tickets for minor features. You will be architecting the strategic engines of the company.

• The Agent Infrastructure (The Pivot): You will lead the launch of our next‑generation commerce infrastructure. You will design the protocols and interfaces that allow external intelligences (OpenAI, Anthropic) to query our proprietary knowledge graph for verified shopping data, positioning us as the standard commerce protocol for the AI era.
• The Digital Wallet Ecosystem: You will pioneer a “Greenfield” strategy for mobile identity. You will build the strategy for geo‑fenced, wallet‑native commerce assets that bridge the digital and physical worlds, creating a new engagement vector that no competitor has touched.
• The Unified Intelligence Architecture: You will integrate two distinct product lines into a single “Unified Platform.” You must align the Utility Engine (Simply Codes) with the Reasoning Engine (Product.ai), ensuring that data flows losslessly between the Transaction Layer that executes the purchase and the Intelligence Layer that judges the product.

• You are a First‑Principles Architect. You deconstruct problems to their core constraints—technical, economic, and psychological—and build novel solutions from the ground up.
• You are a System Builder. You build engines, not just ship features. You optimize for second‑order effects, feedback loops, and unit economics.
• You are AI‑Native. You understand LLMs, RAG, and Agentic workflows. You know the difference between a probabilistic guess and a deterministic axiom, and you know how to build products that leverage both.
• You are a Deep Generalist. You are comfortable discussing API schema design with engineers and debating GTM strategy with marketers. You refuse to stay in a silo.
• You are a Player‑Coach. You lead by doing. You are capable of writing the spec, designing the wireframe, and defining the logic when the team needs a breakthrough.

We operate as a high‑performance studio, not a typical corporation. We share the upside directly with the builders.

• Base Salary: $380,000 – $550,000. We target the 80th+ percentile to attract 1‑of‑1 talent.
• Profit Participation (PIUs): You earn real cash flow distributions as we grow—all within a structure designed for tax efficiency.
