Its apps are available across all top mobile (iOS, Android), web, and connected TV devices (Roku, Apple TV, Playstation, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Vizio, Samsung, and more).
- Design scalable GraphQL schemas, domain models, and backend services that support millions of sports data updates with high performance and reliability.
- Develop cloud-agnostic, event-driven services that ingest, process, and distribute sports data from multiple third-party providers.
- Partner with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver new platform capabilities and influence technical direction.
- Improve the scalability, resiliency, and observability of our distributed systems through performance tuning, monitoring, and automation.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern Dev Ops practices.
- Lead technical design discussions, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and help establish best practices across the engineering organization.
- Mentor and support engineers while fostering a collaborative, learning-focused engineering culture.
- Work as part of an Agile team to iteratively deliver high-quality software and continuously improve development processes.
- Build the next-generation GraphQL data platform powering our client’s applications across web, mobile, fantasy sports, and betting products.
- Design and migrate existing REST and legacy data services into a federated GraphQL architecture.
- Develop high-throughput ingestion pipelines that integrate real-time sports data from leading third-party providers.
- Improve platform observability through distributed tracing, metrics, structured logging, and end-to-end monitoring.
- Build reusable GraphQL schemas and domain models shared across multiple engineering teams.
- Advanced Level of English.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and building scalable backend systems, with a strong emphasis on data-intensive applications and distributed architectures.
- Deep experience designing and evolving GraphQL APIs, including schema design, federation, resolver implementation, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong proficiency developing production applications using Type Script and Node.js.
- Experience designing and optimizing data models across relational, document, and key-value databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience building event-driven systems using messaging or streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS, or similar platforms.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with distributed systems that process high transaction volumes while maintaining reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Experience with modern software development practices including Git, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and Git Ops workflows.
- Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs, estimate engineering effort, assess technical risk, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
- Experience with GraphQL federation platforms such as Apollo Federation, Wunder Graph Cosmo, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Experience with observability platforms, including logging, metrics, tracing, and performance monitoring.
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience working with sports, media, betting, or other high-volume real-time data systems.
