Frontend Engineer Job Los Angeles area,California USA,Software Development

As a Frontend Engineer at Glide Way, you will build the interfaces riders, drivers, and our operations teams rely on every day. You will work across public-facing pages, the rider and driver apps, and internal admin tools, turning real-time transportation data into clear, fast, and accessible experiences on every screen size.

What you will do

Develop responsive Rider, Driver, Admin, and public-facing interfaces with React and Next.js.
Build real-time experiences such as live trip status, driver location, and dispatch updates.
Implement map and location interfaces, including routes, pickup points, and ETAs.
Integrate frontend features with REST APIs and real-time services.
Ensure interfaces meet accessibility standards and work well on mobile devices.
Monitor and improve performance, including load times and rendering efficiency.
Write tests, debug production issues, and keep the codebase maintainable.
Collaborate closely with backend, operations, and safety teams on new features.

Required qualifications

Strong working knowledge of React.
Experience consuming REST APIs and handling loading, error, and empty states.
Solid understanding of responsive design and modern CSS.
Comfort working with Git and collaborative code review.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with Next.js (App Router).
Experience with real-time applications or Web Sockets.
Experience with mapping libraries or location-based interfaces.
Familiarity with accessibility practices (WCAG) and frontend testing tools.
Interest in transportation, logistics, or marketplace products.
