Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.
Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.
If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role We are looking to add a curious, self-motivated engineer to Hadrian’s Autonomous Factory Systems division. This role focuses on developing software interfaces for industrial machinery that mills, welds, forms and more.
The Autonomous Factory Systems team builds the software that gives Hadrian’s factories the ability to sense, decide, and act autonomously. This includes the core robotics stack, orchestration between robots and manufacturing machines, and the hardware abstraction layer that connects our software to the machines on the floor.
As part of this team, you will partner with robotics, mechanical, and controls engineers to bring advanced production systems from concept to operation. You will help execute our roadmap to scale Hadrian into a multi-factory company across the US.What You’ll DoDevelop software to coordinate mechatronic devices for automated manufacturing cells.
Create human-machine interfaces that enable technicians to control and monitor automation on industrial machines.
Ensure seamless software integration of automated manufacturing systems into Hadrian factories.
Build data logging pipelines for connected devices that feed operational planning and factory scheduling.
What We’re Looking For4+ years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in Python, Type Script, C#, or C++.Strong ability and desire to work directly with hardware on the factory floor.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions with incomplete information and deliver complex systems on schedule.
What Will Set You Apart Experience developing software to interface with physical systems in manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, or 3D printing.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA or Profinet.
Backend Type Script experience and comfort working across orchestration, machine interfaces, and data pipelines.
