About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Rails Full-Stack Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails, API development, and database-driven applications. The ideal candidate will lead technical implementation, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions. A hands-on technical leader who can take ownership of deliverables, make sound engineering decisions, mentor team members, communicate proactively, and work effectively with globally distributed stakeholders.

This is a full time contract role with 6 months of Initial contract with extension.

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Build responsive web interfaces using Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus, Stimulus Reflex, Tailwind CSS, and related technologies.
• Work with MySQL, Redis, and background processing frameworks such as Resque.
• Implement secure authentication, role-based access controls, and data protection practices.
• Manage database design, performance optimization, and application scalability.
• Develop and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold coding standards.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and cloud deployment environments.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and promote engineering best practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and full-stack application development.
• Proficiency in REST API design, integration, and documentation.
• Experience with MySQL, Redis, and background job processing using Resque or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus, Stimulus Reflex, Tailwind CSS, and server-rendered web applications.
• Experience with automated testing, preferably RSpec, and relational database testing.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, including App Engine and Cloud SQL, is preferred.
