AI Engineer (Applied/Software)
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead technical delivery of production AI agent deployments for healthcare and life sciences organizations. You will work directly with clients from early solution design through launch, while bringing field insights back to the product team.
What You’ll DoOwn client engagements from pre-sales demonstrations and requirements gathering through architecture, integration, implementation, and post-launch support.
Design and build production AI agent systems that integrate with healthcare platforms such as EHRs, claims systems, specialty pharmacy tools, and CRMs.
Lead working sessions and present technical solutions to executive and technical stakeholders.
Make architecture and implementation decisions, scope integrations, and resolve technical challenges during client engagements.
Share lessons from deployments with the product team and develop reusable components for future implementations.
Build and support production applications, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines.
Five to fifteen years of software engineering experience building and owning production systems end to end.
Experience designing complete system architectures and producing architecture diagrams.
Experience delivering customer-facing software and owning client technical delivery, including scoping and integration.
Production experience with LLM systems or AI agents, including evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring.
Fluency with JavaScript, Node.js, Type Script, Python, Next.js, and React, plus cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
Healthcare or life sciences experience, such as health insurance, patient services, specialty pharmacy, clinical operations, or HIPAA compliance.
Strong client communication skills, including leading technical sessions and presenting to executive stakeholders.
Data or machine learning pipeline experience, including ETL/ELT, document ingestion, or predictive modeling, is useful.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
Base salary range: $170,000 to $205,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
