Marlborough School seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Lacrosse Coach. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Lacrosse Coach will play a vital role in shaping the future of our student‑athletes. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is innovative, engaged, highly organized, and passionate about nurturing the talents of young athletes. OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT Starting a month before the season, the Assistant Coach is responsible for strategically assisting with the Lacrosse Season.

To ensure the program remains at the forefront, they commit to staying updated on the latest ideas, techniques, and rules by attending various clinics and workshops. Furthermore, the coach remains actively involved in professional organizations within the sport and participates in key team activities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with all phases of teams, emphasizing safety and ethical conduct.
  • Assist with regular practice sessions to develop athletes' potential.
  • Ensure facility regulations are understood and enforced.
  • Report contest outcomes to the media and Athletic Director.
  • Assist Instruction to players on rules, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to Marlborough School's rules and regulations.
  • Assist with systematic return, cleaning, storing, and inventory of all equipment/uniforms.
  • Recommend student athletes for awards and evaluate past seasons.
  • Attend Spring Recognition event
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of competitive lacrosse experience at the secondary, club or collegiate level.
  • Strong understanding of Lacrosse techniques, strategies, and training methods.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, accommodating the schedule of athletic events and practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for attending off‑site games and events.
  • Commitment to professional development, staying updated on the latest coaching techniques and industry best practices.
COMPENSATION

As a non‑exempt employee, the hourly compensation ranges from $25-$35 per hour.
