Fleet Coordinator
MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Coordinator who directs all maintenance and repair for MV’s WAV fleet.
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for determining and communicating the repairs needed for the WAV fleet in order to maintain the fleet for maximum equipment life and minimal downtime. This position is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and scheduling fleet repairs and informing customers of the progress of the work.
Job Responsibilities- Ascertain vehicle servicing and repair needs by reviewing daily inspection records and examining service schedules.
- Ad‑hoc projects as assigned by the General Manager.
- Coordinate with repair vendors and, when needed, wash vendors.
- Coordinate on road vehicle recovery in the event of an accident or maintenance issues.
- Negotiate with repair shops on the cost of recommended repairs.
- Provide purchase orders for maintenance repairs and obtain approvals when needed.
- Enter purchase orders into the MMIS system and verify warranty coverage by examining manufacturer programs and historical data.
- Coordinate with towing and repair vendors for unplanned on‑road incidents.
- Maintain automotive service records by documenting driver and vendor correspondence as well as vendor recommendations and corrective actions planned.
- Resolve fleet availability issues.
- Audit vendor invoices for accuracy and process for prompt payment.
- Resolve billing discrepancies with vendors.
- Manage fuel card and RFID card assignments.
- Coordinate delivery and state inspections of new fleet assets.
- Coordinate installation of all onboard technology on new vehicles and repair technology on the existing fleet as needed.
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance when needed.
- Minimum of a High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
- Prior automotive, fleet coordination, and customer service experience is a plus.
- Must have expert‑level knowledge, adaptability, and command of various systems management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
- Research and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate, recognize, and define problems while formulating solutions.
- Effectively interact with customer executives, managers, and vendors.
- Decisiveness with ability to discern issues that need to be referred to a supervisor.
- Flexibility in working weekends.
Starting pay rate: $23/hour
