Aboutthe role
You’ll join Airline Coach Service (ACS) as an Operations Supervisor, overseeing our airfield shuttle operations at Los Angeles World Airports (LAX). You’ll be responsible for managing driver teams, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining seamless service delivery in a secure, high‑responsibility airport environment. This role requires hands‑on leadership of both our daily airline employee shuttle operations and our LAX Terminal 5 construction project shuttle service.
Whatyou’ll do
- Supervise and coordinate daily bus driver schedules, routes, and assignments across both airline employee and T5 construction shuttle operations.
- Conduct driver performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ensure all drivers complete pre‑and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate daily logs.
- Respond to operational issues in real‑time, including route delays, vehicle breakdowns, and driver call‑offs.
- Maintain communication with clients (airlines, G&C Equipment Corporation, construction partners) regarding service delivery and performance.
- Oversee compliance with LAWA, FAA, DOT, and company safety regulations.
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
- Conduct safety meetings and driver training sessions.
- Perform quality control inspections of vehicles and driver performance in the field.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
- Manage timesheet approval and payroll documentation for driver team.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure fleet readiness and minimize downtime.
- Serve as primary on‑site contact for emergency situations and incident reporting.
- Valid California Class B CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Prior experience in airport operations or construction site transportation preferred.
- Clean driving record — no DUI, reckless driving, or license suspensions in the last 5 years.
- Flexible to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays — operations run 24/7 to match airline and construction schedules.
- Able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening (including THC), criminal background check, and fingerprint process for LAWA badging.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient with basic computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent ACS with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
