We are seeking a skilled and responsible Light Vehicle Driver/Chargehand to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of drivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

• Operate light vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Lead and supervise a team of drivers, assigning tasks and coordinating daily operations
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods or passengers to designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and any incidents or delays
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and passengers
• Assist in training new drivers and promoting safe driving practices
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize routes and schedules
• Handle administrative tasks related to vehicle operations and team management

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a light vehicle driver
• Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations in the UAE
• Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in Dubai and surrounding areas
• Defensive driving certification is a plus
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial
• Physical ability to lift and handle packages or assist passengers as needed
