Schedule: Full-time; may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak‑season overtime
POSITION SUMMARYThe Shipping Coordinator is a hands‑on fulfillment role with primary responsibility for order pulling and packing, while also coordinating daily outbound shipping execution for direct‑to‑consumer operations. This role reports directly to the Fulfillment Director and serves as a working lead within the shipping workflow, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and brand‑standard presentation across all outbound orders.
Unlike administrative‑only coordinator roles, this position is operationally embedded on the floor and is expected to actively pull, pack, stage, and prepare shipments while supporting daily shipping priorities, carrier cutoffs, and exception management.
RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Order Fulfillment (Pulling & Packing)- Pull customer orders accurately using pick lists, scanners, or WMS tools.
- Pack orders to luxury brand standards, including proper protection, presentation, inserts, samples, and gift notes.
- Verify SKU, quantity, and order accuracy prior to shipment.
- Label and prepare parcels for outbound shipment in accordance with SOPs and carrier requirements.
- Stage completed orders by carrier, service level, and cutoff time.
- Execute daily outbound shipping plans in alignment with Fulfillment Director priorities.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure shipments are ready for scheduled cutoffs.
- Monitor daily shipping volume and flag risks to on‑time shipment completion.
- Manage reshipments, address corrections, and shipping exceptions as they arise.
- Support returns processing and outbound replacements as assigned.
- Maintain clean, organized packing stations, staging lanes, and shipping areas.
- Support inventory organization, replenishment of packing materials, and basic cycle‑count assistance as assigned.
- Identify discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues and elevate promptly.
- Maintain high accuracy standards to minimize mis‑picks, packing errors, and customer complaints.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and warehouse housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to SOPs related to handling fragrance and alcohol‑based products, including any applicable hazmat or flammable material protocols (training provided as required).
- Communicate directly with the Fulfillment Director regarding daily throughput, bottlenecks, staffing coverage, and shipping risks.
- Provide clear updates on order status, carrier issues, and exception resolution.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with inventory, customer service, and operations teams as needed.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in DTC fulfillment, shipping, or warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated experience pulling and packing orders in a fast‑paced environment.
- Working knowledge of shipping software, WMS/ERP tools, and barcode scanning systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for order accuracy and presentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet strict daily shipping deadlines.
- Experience in luxury, cosmetics, fragrance, or presentation‑sensitive CPG fulfillment.
- Prior experience coordinating daily shipping workflows or acting as a floor lead.
- High pick/pack accuracy with minimal shipment errors.
- On‑time shipment performance aligned with carrier cutoff times.
- Consistent adherence to brand presentation standards.
- Organized, efficient shipping floor and staging areas.
- Clear, proactive communication with Fulfillment Director.
- Warehouse environment with moderate noise and temperature variation.
- Physically active role requiring lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Overtime may be required during peak seasons, promotions, or product launches.
