The Mechanical Engineer, Structures will play a critical role in driving our mission to make data universally available, secure and actionable anywhere on the planet. The ideal candidate has prior experience working on a spacecraft engineering team with a passion for designing and manufacturing satellite structures. This position will report to the VP, Satellite Platform and will work closely with the broader engineering team.

This position requires at least 3 solid years (non-academic) of satellite experience. This role is based in our Los Gatos, CA office.

• Work closely with the satellite sub-system teams to design satellite structures and mechanisms
• Be a CAD modeling expert (Solid Works) managing your CAD assemblies and drawings
• Develop build documents and drawings for your hardware
• Define, build and test your designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware
• Support the fabrication assembly and testing of our flight build

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent real-world design and build experience
• You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience using your CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings
• You have successfully implemented your design solutions in a complex space
• You have experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints

$65,000 - $175,000 a year
