Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Client and Partner Technologies (CPT) team builds tools and services to scale the Netflix application platform to over half a billion devices while maintaining high-quality standards. We are seeking a tooling platform product manager to shape the future of our test automation and productivity ecosystem, guiding the evolution of our tools and services to enable streamlined workflows, efficient governance, and actionable insights for our internal engineering and QA teams.

As a Product Manager in the Client and Partner Technologies (CPT) Product Management team at Netflix, you will strategize, prioritize, and execute initiatives that drive operational efficiency and quality within our organization, operating at the center of a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating daily with engineering, QA, and operations experts. Your ability to foster alignment across engineering teams working on various devices and technology platforms will be key.

You should also be comfortable leading through ambiguity and driving progress even when some stakeholders remain unconvinced. Your leadership will directly impact these teams' productivity and pace of innovation.

Deep technical experience with demonstrated excellence in delivering mobile, web, and/or TV client application test automation platforms and test automation workflow applications is highly valued. Excellent candidates have deep experience in product management for Data, Web, and Mobile platforms. The best candidates demonstrate initiative, especially in disambiguating areas with complex ownership models. They'll already have strong communication skills and a proven ability to align different teams to drive initiatives with a high degree of clarity and speed.

This role is based in our Los Gatos offices and is hybrid-remote; the expectation is easy access to the LG office for a few days every couple of weeks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our internal CI/CD tools and platforms.
  • Shape the platform strategy and north star vision for test automation, productivity tooling, and insights, ensuring alignment across engineering stakeholders.
  • Translate the strategy into a product roadmap that balances the near-term needs of our stakeholder teams while prioritizing what is most impactful over the long term.
  • Collaborate and drive cross-functional teams including experience design, engineering, and tooling to deliver outstanding product solutions that enable seamless integration of testing frameworks, device platforms, and actionable insights.
  • Create strong partnerships with internal product, engineering, and QA teams, establishing feedback loops for product input.
  • Guide our product evolution to address the entire product life cycle, adoption, and migration experience, while providing clear guidance and recommendations to product and engineering teams for successful onboarding and transition.
  • Engage and thrive in a healthy debate of ideas, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration, and communicate product plans and progress broadly throughout the organization.
  • Define how we will measure the success and effectiveness of our products-such as improvements in test coverage, operational efficiency, and automation health-and drive the execution and continuous evaluation of those metrics to ensure ongoing impact.
  • Drive the evolution of our CI/CD ecosystem, including enhancing our Jenkins and Spinnaker platforms, expanding our use of Git Hub Actions, and integrating with automated testing frameworks and physical device labs.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, ideally focusing on internal platforms, developer tools, or test automation services.
  • Experience contributing to the development of B2B enterprise services, either as a product manager, designer, or engineer.
  • Proficient in using data and qualitative insights to prioritize high-impact areas, measure success, and inform product decisions, especially in operational efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Comfortable making decisions under uncertainty, particularly as we evolve our strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical topics-such as automation frameworks, device lab management, and testing insights-into clear, compelling stories for various audiences.
  • Inquisitive and fast learner, able to quickly orient and understand a complex domain.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development life cycles, CI/CD principles, and Dev Ops methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in defining, measuring, and improving developer productivity.
