Shop Mechanic

Overview

The mechanic level 1 is the front-line customer contact of Frank's Supply Company, Inc. It is primarily through this position that we demonstrate our commitment to achieve customer service excellence. This position is responsible for performing construction equipment maintenance in accordance with company business practices and in the professional manner required to build market share and maintain repeat business with our valued customers.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered construction equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
• Replace, repair, and adjust parts such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs.
• Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and Yard Foreman to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working on construction diesel equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work in varying shop environments (e.g., noise, dust, temperature changes).
