Make an impact supporting high school students as a School Social Worker in a contract role near Los Lunas, NM. This position offers the opportunity to work onsite across two high schools, providing specialized services to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Utilize your expertise in school social work to foster a positive and productive learning environment for students in need of support.

Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico School Social Worker (SSW) license
• Experience working in a school setting, particularly with high school students
• Familiarity with developing and supporting IEPs
• Ability to meet any additional requirements set forth by New Mexico school districts
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to high school students with IEPs
• Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to address students needs
• Lead small group or individual counseling sessions as needed
• Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Serve as a liaison between students, school staff, and outside agencies to coordinate resources
